Yeah, its me. I'm Rebekah and I live and work in downtown Salem. I was raised in Keizer and hung out downtown as a teenager and young adult. I moved around the world, lived in some cool places, and then ended up back in Salem, Oregon. And I'm really happy about it. I have found so much to love about my hometown! I hear people saying derogatory things about Salem and I just figure they haven't experienced many other places then. A place is only as good as you make it. I have made Salem a place I love to be.
Sure, I know it doesn't have the best nightlife. I know it has a bit of a small town mentality, but hey, who's going to change that? It has to be us, the people of Salem. I try to do my part by being a part of the online community in our area, by patronizing local businesses whenever possible, and by being involved in my neighborhood association.
